The Challenge

A client with a significant field sales operation was running SAP CRM as their system of record — but the platform's desktop-bound nature meant that field teams were either working from memory, entering data retrospectively after returning to office, or maintaining parallel manual records on the road. Customer data was stale, CRM compliance was low, and the sales leadership lacked the real-time pipeline visibility they needed to manage the business effectively.

The Mindteck Approach 

  • Designed and built a mobile application providing field sales teams with secure, role-appropriate access to SAP CRM data — customer accounts, opportunities, contacts, activities, and pricing — on smartphones and tablets

  • Implemented a real-time synchronisation layer between the mobile application and the SAP CRM backend, ensuring data entered in the field was immediately reflected across the organisation

  • Designed the mobile UX around the specific workflows of field sales — prioritising account visit logging, opportunity updates, and contact management as streamlined single-screen actions

  • Built offline capability to allow field teams to access and update customer data in locations with limited connectivity, with automatic sync on reconnection

  • Integrated push notifications for real-time alerts on CRM events relevant to each salesperson's portfolio

The Outcome
