| Mindteck's, Bangalore Development center, has shifted to its new state of the art facility at Cyber Park, Electronics City.
Bangalore, November 17, 2005: Mindteck CEO, P A Ananthnarayanan in his address to the delegates, employees, and guests spoke about the company's rapid expansion plan, its value system and the road ahead !
"Our distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. Iqbal Mamdani, Mr. Aiyappan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Ved and Mr. Menon, Directors on the Board, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen,
The inauguration of this new facility today, is an important milestone in the history of Mindteck. Mindteck was born in 1999, form the combination of three companies with varied business models but with a common vision of providing a range of software services. Today, six years later, Mindteck is a tightly knit organization serving a variety of customers, both big and small from offices in six countries across the world. With 450 employees worldwide, Mindteck has software development centres in Bangalore, Calcutta and Singapore.
The journey over the last six years has had its fair share of challenges and we have faced significant barriers. But we have overcome these obstacles and today we stand at the threshold of a new dawn. Our embedded systems practice is second to none. In our chosen fields of test and measuring instruments, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and medical electronics, we have competed successfully against larger companies. We have made significant strides last year in the wireless space with our Zigbee initiative. Our newly established SAP practice is building a healthy pipeline in the Far East and the Middle East. In our technology consulting business, we are the preferred vendor for many large customers who are seeking global servicing capabilities.
As we look to the future with optimism, Mindteck remains committed to its core purpose, that of transforming information technology into value for our customers. We will do this through the application of our knowledge of IT coupled with a deep understanding of the customers’ needs. It is the detailed understanding of our customer’s business, his strengths and his weaknesses that gives us the edge in the market place and sets us apart from our competition.
The second aspect of the Mindteck ideology is a set of core values. The first of our core values is authenticity. To be authentic is to be genuine; to be authentic is to be worthy of trust, worthy of belief. Mindteck values the importance of authentic relationships with our customers, with our employees and with our shareholders.
Mindteck also values a spirit of inquiry. It is the spirit of inquiry that underpins all learning. It is the constant desire to understand issues in their fullest breadth. It is only through learning that a company builds its knowledge capabilities. It is only through learning that we update and apply our knowledge. It is through learning that we manage change. As the external environment changes, we must change our internal structure so that it remains in harmony with the changed environment.
Coupled with these values is a passionate commitment to performance standards. We have built a culture of accountability and a drive for performance. As we embark on our next phase of growth, we will set ourselves ambitious targets and take bold actions to achieve them. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. It is time for us to reach the high-hanging fruit. Mindteck is playing to win.
The Mindteck credo is to push the limits of possibility in everything that we do. And in so doing we live up to our core purpose of transforming IT into value. I would like to share with you a few words of appreciation that we received from a customer recently. “The Mindteck development team for the project quite frankly performed a miracle by delivering quality product with a constantly changing SRS in an unrealistic period of time. These guys achieved the impossible.”
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who have made this facility possible. Special thanks are due to our architect, Arnab Ghosh. His conception, design and supervision of the construction have been awesome. Thank you, Arnab. Special thanks are also due to the team from L&T who have completed the construction in a record time of 45 days. I thank Mr. Velayudhan from L&T for his cooperation in making this happen. I would also like to thank the project managers from L&T – Mr. Patil and Mr. Sundaram for the long hours they put in to satisfy a most demanding customer. Finally, I would like to thank the hundreds of workers who worked at this site tirelessly. They are a set of people who take great pride in the work that they do. And it is this genius that shines through in this new facility of ours. Thank you all. "
