| Bangalore, August 14th, 2006: The Annual All India Invitation Cricket Tournament named after Buchi Babu, a famous cricketer of yester years conducted by the TNCA (Tamil Nadu Cricket Association) is scheduled to commence from 14 August 2006. This tournament has been conducted by the TNCA for over a period of 4 decades. The tournament will be played on league cum-knockout basis. Thus it would provide an opportunity for a team to have at least two matches at league stage.
The TNCA has been very fortunate to have the continued patronage and support of Mindteck India Ltd, as the sponsor of the Buchi Babu Tournament.
Mindteck Buchi Babu All India Invitation Tournament will be conducted from 14 August to 1 September, 2006. 13 teams will be participating in this year's tournament, viz., 10 outstation teams and three home teams. The teams are divided into four zones to play the league stage and the top teams of each zone will play the Semi-finals on knock-out basis. The details about the participating teams, fixtures and rules for the conduct of the tournament are enclosed.
The matches will be played on Turf Wickets in grounds situated in and around the city of Chennai. The grounds which are likely to host the matches are:
1. MAC Stadium
2. ICL Gurunanak
3. Sri Ramachandra Medical College Turf
4. CPT-lndia Pistons
5. IIT-Chemplast
6. SPIC-YMCA
7. Mayajal
8. Pachiayappa's College
9. RKM Vivekananda College
The prize money for the winners and runners will be Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 50,000 respectively and Rs. 25,000/- each to the loosing semi-finalists.
All participating outstation teams will receive an amount of Rs. 5,000- per match.

Being here this evening fills my heart with reminiscence. I was born and brought up in this great city and I remember seeing some of the great cricket stars in action in this very stadium.
Although we are a Bangalore based IT company we have always had a strong relationship with the people of Chennai. Many of our young and bright engineers hail from this great city and have played an extremely relevant role in the growth and success of our organization.
In the coming weeks, we could be witnessing some of the future shining stars in action and I am sure the teams would do their best on and off the field and uphold the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship.
