Our customer acquired a Strip and Clean Tool product. The product was cost-effective and, hence, very popular. The customer’s end user placed a bulk order with the precondition that the tools should support the SECS/GEM based on HSMS. The tool had to be shipped in 3 months’ time.

Mindteck conducted a 2 week system study to analyze and map functional requirements. The system study concluded with a presentation of the project plan and effort & cost estimate. Following project initiation, Mindteck had an onsite lead for the first month to reverse engineer the legacy software and develop tool software interfaces. The offshore team focused on architecting the HSMS implementation followed by SECS/GEM implementation over the HSMS. The project had 3 iterative deliveries followed by the final delivery.

The project was completed 2 weeks before the scheduled delivery date. The iterative delivery model effectively addressed and eliminated defects.

Apart from cost arbitrage, our dedicated team exceeded expectations by delivering the critical project on time. Our customer was able to test the SECS/GEM interface at the manufacturing bay before shipping the tools to its Korean customer. Additionally, Mindteck got repeat orders for implementing E53 standard for Copper Electofill tool.
