In the past, the customer’s smart card tool palette enabled skilled POS personnel in retail outlets to administer the company’s smart cards. This new smart card tool represented the customer’s latest frontier. The intuitive, standardized, yet hugely user-friendly smart card tool was targeted especially at non-skilled retail personnel with little or no understanding of smart card operations. It was conceived as a highly configurable (demanding no additional reprogramming), modular, internationalized (i.e., supporting multiple international languages such as English and Chinese) and, sure enough, user-friendly tool.

The Solution

Our layered arrangement ensured clean architectural modularity. The modularity manifested in a core with extensive functional plug-ins, middleware and end user configurable GUI. The pre-provisioned, deliverable package containing generic or operator-specific modules ensured easy configurability for diverse corporate identities, logos, colors and languages.
