| About The Customer |
| For over two decades now, our customer has been designing and developing some of the most reliable and rugged operator panels for mobile machines operating in challenging environments.
|
| The Challenge |
| Our customer’s operator console is set to go live in tractors and other vehicles by mid-2007. The ARM9 based console application(s) will run on a Linux operating system. The console will be capable of running any combination of three applications – ISO Virtual Terminal (ISO-VT), projector and custom applications. This required all three applications to have common interfaces.

The Solution
|
Our team proposed a C++ API that will provide common interfaces for ISO Virtual Terminal (ISO-VT), projector and custom application. Primarily, C++ API ensured application platform independence. The system definition was completed using XML files and other artifacts such as bitmaps downloaded to the target system.
